About Us
Lookout Publishing is a subsidiary of Carolina Data Systems.
Lookout Publishing’s project manager and chief developer, Sara Whitford, has been designing websites since 1996. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English in ’97, providing Lookout Publishing with an on-staff editor for both print and digital content.
In 2005, under the imprint of Bonesville Media, Lookout Publishing began publishing The Pirates’ Chest, the official magazine of the East Carolina University Educational Foundation, more commonly known as The Pirate Club.
Our first foray into book publishing came in 2011, when author Terrance Zepke contacted Lookout Publishing about overseeing the production of the second edition of her popular guidebook, The Encyclopedia of Cheap Travel.
As for Internet expertise, the staff of Lookout Publishing has been involved in website development in multiple areas since the mid ’90s. With a wide variety of services available — from aesthetic design, to styling, to PHP and database integration, to various scripting languages, as well as Social networking, digital media (audio/video/e-books) and the development of Apps — we have a well-stocked toolbox to meet your needs.
We also provide basic Internet consulting services such as domain registration, hosting, online marketing (such as Google AdWords) and more.
